Feyd knocked his head repeatedly into the table of food he happened to bring along with him when he was summoned by Chelsea. "So Karl, what do you want to do today? We have a genie with us! We can do anything!" "Hmm....why don't we eat first? Feyd was nice enough to bring food when you called him." "Okay!" Chelsea said cutely as they sat down and ate. "Why me? Why me?!" Syrian Stories Presents.... GENIE!! Chapter 2: There's no place like an Alternate Universe...There's no place... By Ranma X. The trio of Feyd, Karl and Chelsea sat down and had a slow, but meaningful breakfast. Actually it was a massacre as Karl and Chelsea ate like starving lions and Feyd kept repeating what seemed to be his catch phrase: "For the seven-hundred and eighty-fourth time, I'm NOT a genie!!!" he said. "*mmph* You have a *gulp* short temper for a *mpph* genie *gulp*," Karl said. Feyd sighed and gave a particularly nasty look to Karl. "So what do you want today Chelsea?" "Let's have an adventure! I want to go shopping!" "That's an adventure?" said the two men. They then blinked simultaneously and then looked at each other. "Yes! Feyd, give me enough money to buy the things I want!" "Sorry. I can't do that." "Why not?" She said, looking as saddened as a hyper girl like herself gets. "Well, for starters...I don't even know what currency you use! and even if I did, I can't make any because I AM NOT A GENIE!!!" he stood up and hefted the table so that it fell upside down splattering the food that was on it, but not hurting either Karl or Chelsea. Everyone was silent as Feyd stood there, closing and opening his eyes slowly in pain. Karl was stunned, dropping his glass of orange juice. Chelsea stopped, slowly turned to look at Feyd then promptly, as is typical in these sorts of things, cried. "Feyd! How..how could you! Why are so mean!!" She stood and ran from the room. Karl stood up and said, "You aren't a very nice genie...why did you have to hurt her feelings?" He walked away from the room yelling, "Chelsea! wait!". Feyd stood there silently. The once empty room was now a mess of food, dishes and whatnot. He was almost speechless. The only word he could utter was a barely noticable "sorry." Feyd ran from the room wondering, "What the hell is happening to me?" *** Wynn woke up and stumbled out of bed. He had failed miserably the night before and noted that the sensation was like drinking way too much of that Dharmic wine. "Hey, idiot! Get up!" the voice in his head yelled. "What?" "In case you forgot....WE HAVE A LAMP TO STEAL!!" the voice yelled causing Wynn to open up his eyes widely and yell. "All right already!...where do we start anyways?" he said walking towards a window. He saw Chelsea run through the street. He smiled, grabbed a clean tunic, and ran out the door of his room. *** Down the marketplace Chelsea ran, tears streaming down her eyes. The people watched briefly, then seeing Karl run after her, finally turning away, assuming a lover's quarrel or something like that. When the crowd did in fact turn away to attend to their lives, Feyd flew by, trying to ctach up with the two. "Chelsea! Wait up!" Karl yelled barely able to keep a constant distance between himself and Chelsea, let alone not fall behind. "No! How could people be so mean like that!" "Oy..." Feyd said as he flew past Karl, catching up to a tiring Chelsea. Chelsea would have kept on running, if it wasnl't for the fact that she was tiring out and that she ran into someone. She fell to the ground, catching her breath and saying, "I'm sorry...huff..about...that I-hey!" her speech was stopped when the person put his hand over her mouth and said, "Where is the lamp?" *** Feyd saw the man grab Chelsea and stopped. He moved his forearm towards his face and said, "Computer, engage energy weapon targeting." Immediately, a small green viewscreen appeared in front of his face. Feyd said again, "Comuputer, target being on coordinates 3exalta, 7yagami, 45goronth. Engage auto-tracking feature." He extended his arm out and a small ball of what seemed to be white light came out of his hand and flew, directly hitting the man holding Chelsea in the head. Chelsea was struggling and hitting her captor until she realised he wasn't moving. In fact he was on the floor, unconscious and twitching. She blinked and saw Feyd standing there as well as Karl who had just arrived and was catching his breath. "Feyd..." she said. "T-thank you." "It's alright," he said, slightly irritated. "Um..huff..can we...huff...talk things...huff...through now..." Karl said. "Okay, I guess. I'm sorry about running off like that." "That's fine, though I can't be playing around here. I'm rather needed in my own world." "Fine, we'll make it quick," Karl said as they walked away from the paralyzed man. *** Wynn layed there mentally sighing, since he wasn't able to move his body enough to sigh physically. "They got away again! Good work, idiot!" The voice said. "Oh shut up..." Wynn thought as he saw the shadow of a mountain roc along with the shadow of something which came from said mountain roc. "Damn," was all Wynn could get out before it hit. *** In the marketplace, the trio sat down on the ground in a shaded, but suprisingly clean alley. "Okay, look you two. I don't know what's going on. All I can say is that I don't have magical powers." "But what about back there...wasn't that magic?" "No. That was technology and science at work." "What's that?" Chelsea and Karl inquired. Feyd sat down. It was going to be a looooong day. *** "So you see...essentially, electricity is the flow of electrons and the rate of flowing is known as current. Do you understand?" Feyd tried his best to be a teacher to the two. However all that resulted from his lecture was a sleeping, drooling Karl and a Chelsea who was humming to herself. Feyd sighed. "Okay look! I'm tired of this crap. Chelsea, give me the lamp!" "No!" "Chelsea! I want to go home already." "No." "Why not?" "I'm afraid..." she said, lowering her voice to a near whisper. "Afraid of what?" "That you won't come back," Chelsea looked as if she was going to cry again. Feyd looked at the girl. His stern resolve started to break. "Legions of Almecia warriors, I can handle. This is just wierd," he thought. "Um...uh look. I, uh, don't really know if I'll be able to return, uh," he saw Chelsea tear up, "but, uh, I don't really know if I can't return, so, uh, that doesn't souund right, uh...ARGH! Look!! If I can get back, I will, okay!?" "Really?" "Yeah. If you uh need me, try the lamp. If that doesn't work, I'll uh, find another way." "O..Okay," she said as she reached into one of her pockets and pulled out the black object. "Thank you Chelsea," he said calmly as he touched the lamp. Imemdiately, Feyd was covered in a swirl of light which grew in intensity until Feyd seemed to be composed of light. The light then swirled into the lamp and there was darkness. Chelsea looked at the lamp for a bit, then placed it into her pocket. "Karl," she said lightly, nudging him. "Hmm?" Karl asked drowsily, wiping his face. "What?" "He left." "Who?" "Feyd." "Oh," Karl said sitting up. "Karl." "What Chelsea?" "He..he said he'd come back for me." "...What?" *** In the battlefield of some planet, Feyd woke up. He took note of his surroundings. "I'm back. hah! I'm back!" he yelled. Immediately thirty guards raised laser cannons towards his general direction. "Oh right...that whole battle and soldiers of light thing..." he said as he was paralyzed by an energy weapon. *** Wynn had cleaned himself of the loving gifts of the moutain roc, though he noted the smell probably wouldn't go away for a few days. "I'm going to get that lamp if it's the last thing I do!" "It may as well be. Word is the big boys upstairs aren't liking this screwup." "Who are you talking about, moron?!" he yelled to the voice "Him, for starters," The voice said as it psychically pointed out to Wynn a tall bearded man. He seemed to be floating, though his robe, which covered his feet didn't reveal that specific detail. His eyes seemed to be glowing red like rubies and, in general, didn't seem to be the happy camper. "A-ah...Guildmaster Kronos. H-h-how do you do?" "..." "A-ah, I s-see then..." "..." "Um, no. Not yet, but I'm going to get it n-next time!" "..." "Well, yeah he is incompetent and I can't exactly help him in that regard," the voice said non-chalantly "..." "Sure Fred. I'll whip the kid into shape. We'll get that piece of junk," the voice smiled then muttered, "If I have to kill this idiot to do it..." "..." Fred Kronos said as he teleported from his position to an unknown locale. Wynn stood there in shock. He knew now that something was 'really' wrong with the lamp situation. He sat down, thinking. "Okay. Got any ideas?" "Sorry Kid, fresh out of them..." the voice said depressingly as Wynn looked out his window. "...except..." the voice's intonation went upwards as he had an idea. *** It was already night when Karl and Chelsea found another, though smaller room to sleep. Karl had been able to steal some fruit and bread, as well as salvage some of the uneaten breakfast. After eating, Karl went to sleep. Chelsea stayed up looking at the sky and the bright stars. "I wonder what's going to happen now?" she thought. Looking over at Karl. She knew he would be her friend, but what about Feyd? He was nice, but there were times when he got so angry." She thought to herself some more, then took out the lamp and looked at it. "I wonder what the world inside of here is like..." she said. She contemplated rubbing the lamp for a second placing her hand on the lamp. She then, abruptly, put her hand away and said, "No. Only when I need him." She put the lamp back into her pockets and lied down next to Karl and fell asleep looking at the stars from the window. *** It was night in Feyd's world as it was in Chelsea's, but he was in a prison. He shook his head as he sat up. He looked around. "Force-field Type Zangoth layer 3. Why those sly bastards..." he smirked. A voice came through some sort of speaker: "High Commander Feyd Eugene Galit...ha, haha," the voice said mockingly. "How...nice it is to have you here. I hope you find your domicile comforting." "Heh. What is it your getting? Ransom? Power? Can't get heard on the barganing table without me?" Feyd said, then laughed. "Silence!" the voice said as Feyd was electrocuted. "We will not bow down to your demands! We will conquer you! We will-" the voice was interrupted in a loud bit of feedback. "What the?" Feyd said to himself softly. "Commander?" a soft feminine voice said. "General Lunaris?" "Yep! It took us a bit, but when we found you had reappeared, we infiltrated the base. Oh, and here you go!" she said as she lowered the containment field on Feyd's cell. "Computer, locate map of present facility..." *** On the roof of said domicile, Wynn stood silently looking through a small hole. "This is your chance idiot," the voice said. "I know. I'm glad you thought of tracking them. I memorized the spells exactly the way you told me to." "Be careful," the voice warned. "I know! Sheesh you think I'm an idio-AAHHHHH!!" he whispered then screamed as he fell through the roof. Amazingly he didn't hurt himself too badly, but even more amazingly, he didn't wake up either Chelsea or Karl. "Idiot..." the voice muttered. Wynn stood up. Slowly he approched Chelsea. "That lamp is mine," he thought. Slowly he walked towards Chelsea. He reached out a hand to try and find the lamp on her person. Out of insecurity of touching her feminine charms to locate a missing object, he took a long time in finding the lamp. Wynn was about to give up when Chelsea unexpectedly turned to her side, the flap of her outer robe revealed a black lamp. He quickly took the lamp and began to run softly, unknowingly dragging an unconscious Chelsea who tied the lamp to her foot. When he stepped over a rock that was not skipped by Chelsea's head, she woke up. "Kyaa!!! Karl!" she yelled, waking up the sleeping thief. Wynn noticed the string and broke it in order to take the lamp. "Haha! The lamp is mine plebians!" he said. *** Feyd, General Lunaris, and a small armament of troops were running down a hall as prescribed by Feyd's computer. "What's our ETA to the exit?" Feyd asked, now back to his militaristic face. "3 minutes," General Lunaris said. "Okay. Let's keep moving then," Feyd said as they turned left down a new hall, occasionally shooting a random guard or soldier. "This is the last corridor After this we're-" General Lunaris stopped as mass amoubt of fire rained down on the group, killing evryone except for herself and Feyd. "What the hell?!" Feyd said in total shock. A voice in the shadows laughed. *** Wynn stood there holding the artifact as Chelsea and Karl faced him. "Give back that lamp before I have to hurt you..." Karl said, giving his best tough guy look. "Never! I worked too hard to try and get this thing back from your grasp!" Wynn laughed. "Please! Give it back, please!" "Do you actually listen, girl?" Wynn said as he unconsciously stroked the lamp, laughing. *** The voice laughed,"This is the end Commander. General." The figure stepped out from the shadows. A tall man in white armor approached the two. "And now it's time to die." He said pointing a wepon and firing it. It missed. However, General Luanris saw the shot from an assasin that she knew wouldn't miss. "Feyd!!" She ran and pushed Feyd as he turned into a ball of light. His essence somehow made General Lunaris turn into light as well. This all transpired in few seconds. They were gone. "What the?" The figure said, completly confused. *** Wynn laughed in a, now, rather passe psychotic laugh. He laughed so much he didn't realize that he had just rubbed the lamp. The lamp twitched in his hands as two bursts of light came from the lamp. "The hell?!" Wynn said as the figures of Feyd and General Lunaris appeared. The two were lying down, looking worn out. General Lunaris woke up first and mumbled "What..What is going on Fe-,I mean, Commander." "Chelsea!" Feyd said as he rapidly woke up and stood. "That's it! By the Flames of Aztatoth..." He narrowed his eyes, concentrating. "FIREBALL!!" he yelled as energy collected in a ball and turned into fire. "What the?! Computer! Engage energy Barrier at negative frequency of incoming blast!" Feyd and General Lunaris yelled simultaneous as two large blue walls of energy formed, blocking the four from the rather large and nasty fireball. "Damn it...North, up, left, right, down, South Teleport!" Wynn said as he disappeared in a flash of light. The four all looked stunned and really couldn't move after what just transpired. Then Feyd, Chelsea, and Karl yelled: "The lamp!!!" End Chapter 2 Author's notes Holy mother of...anyway, I have to say this was the most hastily written impro I've done yet. I don't think it's my best, but it's only my third one too. I hope this will get people to sign up for Genie, because I thought it was a great story for an impro(yes i am one of the 4 who voted for it...I mean, come on, only FOUR!?). Anyways, I hope you had fun reading this and I'm quite happy I broke my goal of at least 12K. Now its off to read Girls with Guns and be prepared to write a chapter of gratuitous violence and obscure cultural references. Wai! Ranma X.
